Harry is dead now, but his daughter is trying to write a biography of him using a small pile of letters she has found in their attic. Quite elderly herself, she is up there now, having fallen while climbing from the folding stairs to the trapdoor, alone in the house. Downstairs the rooms are a symphony of colours, and the cat sits by his empty bowl, staring.
