A multimedia poetry film made for the Half Moon Festival 2020 and shared with kind permission from the collaborators: sound artist Gadget and the Cloud, visual artist Emer Kiely and producer Hayley Douglas.
The text is an excerpt from the long heteroglossic piece 13.12.18 which I've been making to investigate the silencing and erasure of women from Ireland's history. '13.12.18' is the date on which the new abortion legislation bill passed in the Seanad, meaning that it would become law and that some - but to this day, not all - people needing abortions could access them in Ireland at last.
