the tree branch stands out against the light, a black stream. Why am I writing this? I approve of myself, thumbs up. The child's body stands out in places against the light, a series of black streams.

Sometimes the antlers get tangled - sometimes there are fights, there is heat, envy and defeat. Tables are overturned. Adolescent jealousy can be brutal; it is an unfortunate genetic heritage.
